RESULTS OF THE XXI. INTERNATIONAL SCHUBERT COMPETITIONS FOR PIANO DUOS
The only one Czech platform, in which piano duos compete, has brought several dozen contestants from all over the world to the town of Jeseník. The final concert of the laureates was associated with the announcement of the results and brought a very varied musical program, emotional response of the audience and a calm atmosphere. Some duos showed performance worthy of the world\'s stages.
 
I. kategory:
 
The 1st prize was awarded to the Lithuanian sister duo Augustė Petkūnaitė and Ieva Petkūnaitė.
The 2nd prize wasn´t awarded
The 3rd prize was divided by the sibling piano duo Cornelia Nick and Markus Nick with Czech duo Eva Grundová and Aneta Horáková, who also received the prize of Vlastimil Lejsek for the best performance of Czech contemporary compositions.
 
II. kategory:
 
The 1st prize won the sympathic young Japanese ladies Aya and Risa Sakamoto.
The 2nd prize was divided by the French duo Manuel Vieillard and David Salmon with the Polish sposes duo Agnieszka Zahaczewska-Książek and Krzysztof Książek, this duo also received the price of Alois Složil for the best performance of Franz Schubert\'s composition.
The 3rd prize was awarded to the Czech-Austrian duo Tereza Kalábová and Johannes Gugg.
